Description

Quinta do Barrancos, formerly Quinta do Padre Piteira, is a unique property where peace prevails due to the surroundings, location, and topography.
It has 6.5 hectares and is located at the gates of the beautiful village of Redondo, in the heart of Central Alentejo. The 2 independent ruins, 75m apart, are connected to the electricity and public water network, 1 borehole with plenty of water, and a covered area > 300sqm, with the possibility of expansion according to the PDM.
The beautiful arch, topped by a granite cross, connected to the main ruin, marks the old access to it. In traditional olive groves, its almost 800 centuries-old olive trees dot the landscape.
In the center, the summer garden is flanked by a loose stone wall, olive trees, some fruit trees, and 2 cisterns that collect rain and never dry out. A butcher's shop (disappeared) routed these waters through a humble aqueduct, in ruins, to a tank/drinking fountain.
As the property is square, if divided in half, there is 1 ruin in each half with independent access, making it possible to highlight 2 autonomous properties.
Finally, Quinta do Barrancos is part of a renowned wine and olive oil-producing region with growing tourist value, where the Ruas Floridas biennial attracts thousands of visitors from all corners of the world.
Therefore, its unique characteristics and exceptional location allow you to enjoy the best that Alentejo has to offer just 30 minutes from Évora, 1h30 from Lisbon, and 1h from Spain.
